1. Prepare materials: Make sure you have all the materials you need ready. This includes cannabis seeds, a jar, water and a dark place.
2. Prepare the water: Fill the glass with clean, cold water. The water should be of good quality, ideally filtered or boiled to remove impurities.
3. Choose seeds: Choose healthy cannabis seeds that have a good color and a hard surface. Avoid damaged or too light seeds as they may not germinate.
4. Soaking the seeds: Carefully place the selected seeds in the jar of water, making sure the seeds are completely covered. Then let them soak for 12 to 24 hours. This step facilitates germination by softening the outer shell.
5. Checking the seeds: After the soaking time is over, check the seeds for signs of germination. They should have cracked open and small roots should be visible.
6. Paper towel method (optional): If the seeds have not germinated yet, you can use the paper towel method. Place the seeds between two slightly damp paper towels and place them in a dark, warm place. Check them regularly to make sure the towels remain moist.
7. Transplantation: Once the seeds have germinated and small roots are visible, they can be transplanted into a suitable growing medium, such as soil or coco substrate.
8. Continue germination in the dark: Continue to keep the germinated seeds in a dark environment to promote healthy growth of the seedlings. After a few days, they can then be placed in the light.
9. Regular care: Make sure the seedlings receive sufficient moisture, light and nutrients to support strong and healthy growth.
With these steps, you should be able to successfully germinate cannabis seeds in a glass jar and obtain healthy seedlings.
